‘Once-in-a-generation’ lifestyle opportunity

Capping off Karrinyup shopping centre’s remarkable transformation, West Village has already achieved more than $120 million in sales, cementing its status as a coveted residential addition in the newly revitalised precinct.

Luxury apartment developer Blackburne is reporting strong demand for the project’s three bedroom homes priced from $1.35-4 million, with discerning buyers quickly snapping up four of the nine penthouses.

Proving popular among local and coastal residents, West Village is attracting downsizers and buyers eager to elevate their lifestyle in a high-end home aimed at partnering urban convenience with nature’s serenity.

Blackburne spokesperson said Western Australian homeowners were increasingly recognising the huge benefits of living next to a major retail and entertainment hub.

“This blend of spacious luxury apartments set in a tranquil suburb, coupled with immediate access to a vibrant array of cafes, bars, restaurants, a cinema and premium retail, is a lifestyle that’s globally sought,” the spokesperson said.

“While the concept is well-established in Southeast Asia and other parts of the world, it’s relatively new to the WA market.

“No other luxury apartments in the state are right next to a shopping destination as extensive as Karrinyup shopping centre. “West Village truly is a once-in-a-generation opportunity for buyers.”

The Blackburne spokesperson also attributed West Village’s strong sales to Perth’s dire housing shortage, especially new builds.

“The number of Perth homes for sale plunged below 5000 at the end of September, marking a 30-year low,” the spokesperson said.

“Adding to this, the average wait time for new homes commencing now is about 16 months.

“At West Village, buyers are offered a stress-free path to owning a brand new, architect-designed apartment fitted with top-quality fittings and appliances.”

Positioned near the ocean and amid bushland, the project aims to strike a balance between the shopping centre’s vibrancy and the surrounds’ natural beauty.

Designed by MJA Studio, West Village will feature 253 luxury apartments across two buildings of 13 and 23 storeys, connected by a podium housing more than 2750sqm of resortstyle amenities and landscaped gardens.

The Platinum Collection, comprising 63 exclusive suites – including nine penthouses – represents the height of luxury in the development.

Each apartment is meticulously designed to maximise views of the city and ocean, offering breathtaking panoramas of the ocean stretching over North Beach and Trigg, along with sweeping views of Lake Gwelup and the Perth city skyline.

Residents will also enjoy a range of communal amenities, including a swimming pool with private cabanas, a sauna, a steam room, a gym, barbecue facilities, a wine lounge and even a golf simulator.

The extensive landscaping plan, which is set to include more than 130 trees, aims to create a verdant link between the development and the neighbouring Trigg Bushland.

Apartment options range from one-bedroom homes starting at $630,000 to dual-level penthouses priced at $8.38 million.

Blackburne expected West Village to follow the near sellout success of East Village on the shopping centre’s eastern boundary.

West Village’s construction is anticipated to begin in mid-2024.

The display suite is open Monday to Friday from 10am-4pm and Saturday and Sunday from 10am-12pm.
