Blackburne Property Group has awarded $40 million in construction contracts for two apartment buildings in Subiaco and Rivervale.

Jaxon Construction has won a $21 million construction contract for the Encore project on Roydhouse Road in Subiaco.

BGC has been awarded a $22 million contract for the Proximity project on the corner of Rowe Avenue and Hawkburn Road in Rivervale.

The five-storey Encore project designed by architect Hillam Design will have 87 one, two and three bedroom apartments and two commercial units on the ground floor.

The seven-storey Proximity project, also designed by architect Hillam Design, will have 89 one and two bedroom apartments and two commercial units on the ground floor.

Construction of both projects will start in October and is set to be finished by early 2015.

Blackburne Property Group managing director Paul Blackburne said Jaxon Construction and BGC stood out during the tender selection process.
